Introduction to the Society and Purpose of Establishment

The Korean Academy of Community Health Nursing was founded in 1971 and is an academic research organization with approximately 710 nursing scholars actively engaged in various activities. Its members include researchers, health teachers, health administrators, public health nurses, and students, as well as professors affiliated with 220 nursing education institutions and nursing-related research institutes, encompassing experts from diverse fields of community nursing.

The primary purpose of the academy's establishment is to lead and integrate not only the theory but also the practice and education of community health nursing through active academic research activities while promoting fellowship among its members.

To achieve these objectives, the academy conducts research activities for nursing scholars, domestic and international academic and promotional activities, and publishes academic journals and other publications.
